The Lafayette Club is currently seeking hard working housekeepers. We are located in a beautiful setting on Lake Minnetonka, about 20 minutes west of Minneapolis. We offer a full spectrum of benefits after 90 days employment, paid meal breaks and employer-provided meals, and flexible scheduling.

Principle Objectives:

Ensure our facilities are clean. Have a positive attitude when dealing with Lafayette Members, guests and co-workers.  Help keep the Housekeeping Department organized to ensure that operations run effectively and efficiently.


Our Housekeepers must be reliable, honest, have a positive attitude, and good communication skills to interact with our staff, Members and guests proficiently. They must be able to follow instructions and work without close supervision, be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and be familiar with housekeeping department cleaning procedures, chemicals and machinery.

Some Duties and Responsibilities:

- Promote a positive attitude and professional work ethic.
- Clean all clubhouse offices and Tennis building.
- Clean and restock supplies in all bathrooms, restock paper towels in all kitchens.
- Clean mirrors, windows and light fixtures in banquet rooms, lobby, lounge, lounge porch and members dining room.
- Clean and vacuum hotel rooms and 2nd floor hallway.
- Vacuum stairways and mezzanine level.
- Recycling.
- Monthly inventory of supplies and linens.
- Complete daily checklist and give to supervisor at the end of each shift.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.

What is expected of you?

The Housekeepers are an important part of the Club’s day-to-day operation.  They are expected to know health and safety regulations regarding the chemicals and machinery used.  They must be familiar with weekly functions around the clubhouse in order to adjust housekeeping needs.  Housekeepers must maintain a safe, clean work environment and report problems and unsafe conditions to your supervisor. And they must provide excellent customer service to all Lafayette Members and guests.

Housekeepers are expected to know their work schedule, be on time, wear the proper uniform, and have a courteous, professional manner. They are expected to questions when they do not know the answers, and follow all guidelines outlined in the Lafayette Club Employee Manual.
