Event Planning - Policies
Service Charge and Tax: Food prices are subject to an 18% Club Service Charge (20% nonmember) and a 6.9% state sales tax. Beverage prices are subject to a 18% Club Service Charge (20% non-member) and a 9.4% State Sales Tax.

The service charge added to food and beverage bills is the property of the Lafayette Club, which has complete discretion as to its use and distribution.

Deposit - A deposit will be required on all non-member parties before reservations can be confirmed. This amount will be stated on your reservations contract. Your deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward your final bill.

Sponsorship - If a Lafayette Club member in good standing will sponsor your function there is a 30% room rental discount.

Payment of the Bill - Non-members/non-sponsored parties are required to pay the entire estimated bill prior to the date of the function: 50% of the estimated bill is due three months prior, and the remaining 50% is due two weeks prior to the event.

Guarantee - A guarantee for the number of guests is required 72 hours prior to food service. You will be billed based on this guarantee. We will not be prepared to serve more than the guarantee. If no guarantee is submitted, we will consider the last number given to be the guarantee.

Minimum Requirements - The minimum food expenditure for the Main Dining Room is $4,000.00. The Ballroom minimum food expenditure is $6,000.00. Room capacity will vary with set-up. To reserve both the Main Dining Room and Ballroom. A combined minimum food expenditure of $10,000.00 is required.

Catering - All food items, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and wines must be purchased from the Lafayette Club. A meal must be purchased with every function. Lunch food minimum is $14.00++ per person until 3:00 PM. Dinner food minimum is $27.00++ per person. Prices are subject to change. There is an additional charge when offering more than one entrée, please limit your selection to two items.

Food Regulations - Due to the Health Departments regulations and Club Policy, food and beverage consumed on the premises must be provided by Lafayette Club. Health Department regulations prohibit us from allowing guests to take home extra food or beverages.
